The Taco SD030020-5 RSP Suction Diffuser is a ductile iron piping component designed for installation at the suction inlet of a pump in hydronic heating, cooling, and water circulation systems. Featuring a 3 in. system-side connection and a 2 in. pump-side connection, this suction diffuser combines flow straightening and straining functions in a compact fitting to simplify pump piping installations and improve flow conditions at the pump inlet.

The diffuser features an oversized body cylinder, integral cast straightening vanes, and a disposable fine mesh start-up strainer. Its design helps provide uniform flow to the pump suction inlet, reduce pressure drop, and minimize the need for an extended straight pipe run. The rear strainer pullout design allows access to internal components for inspection and maintenance.
