The TACO 1615dae1l000000 is an in-line cartridge pump designed for hydronic and fluid circulation systems in commercial and industrial applications. Supplied without a motor, this unit accepts a variety of external power sources, giving installers flexibility in motor selection. The casing, impeller, and face plate are stainless steel construction, while the bracket is cast iron. A stainless steel shaft pairs with a replaceable bearing cartridge assembly that isolates bearings from system fluid temperatures. The mechanical seal assembly includes a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT elastomers rated for fluid temperatures up to 250 degrees F. The nominal impeller diameter is 6.35 inches, supporting consistent hydraulic performance across the operating range.
This pump is suited for in-line installation in closed hydronic heating and cooling circuits where the motor is sourced and mounted separately. The rear pull-out design allows full removal of the motor and all rotating components for service without disturbing connected piping. This design is common in commercial mechanical rooms and large residential systems where serviceability and uptime are priorities. Installers working on building automation or custom drive setups benefit from the less-motor configuration, which accommodates integration with variable frequency drives or other external motor controls.
Designed as an OEM-style in-line cartridge pump for use in closed hydronic heating and cooling piping systems with 1-1/2 inch suction and 1-1/2 inch discharge connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or mechanical contractor familiar with hydronic system design and local plumbing codes. Isolate the system and relieve pressure before servicing or installing the pump. A separately sourced motor must be properly sized and matched to the pump curve before commissioning. Verify that piping supports are in place to carry the weight of the pump and connected piping independently of the pump casing.
