Fixed-temperature detection triggers an alarm when the ambient temperature reaches a set threshold. Rate-of-rise detection responds to rapid temperature increases that may indicate a fast-developing fire, even before the fixed threshold is reached. Designed for integration with addressable fire alarm control panels, this detector is installed by licensed fire alarm technicians as part of a commercial or residential life-safety system.

This detector is suited for applications where smoke detectors are not appropriate, such as areas with dust, steam, or vehicle exhaust — including garages, mechanical rooms, attics, and utility spaces.
