The SUPERIOR ABRASIVES A016011 is a coated quick-change abrasive disc engineered for aggressive material removal in metalworking and fabrication applications. Built on a heavy-duty cloth backing with a zirconia alumina abrasive grain, this disc delivers consistent cut rates and extended service life under sustained load. At 36 grit, it falls in the very coarse grade range, making it suited for weld blending, surface prep, and stock removal on steel, stainless, and other ferrous metals. The disc is rated to 30,000 RPM maximum and mounts via the Type R quick-change system for fast, tool-free pad changes.

This disc is designed for use on right-angle grinders and die grinders equipped with a Type R or TR (Type III) quick-change backup pad. It is a standard choice in weld shops, fabrication facilities, and industrial maintenance environments where rapid disc swaps and consistent cutting performance are required. Installation Notes

Installation and disc changes must be performed with the grinder powered off and air supply disconnected or the tool unplugged. Confirm the backup pad is rated to at least 30,000 RPM before mounting this disc. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not use discs that show cracks, tears, or delamination. Operators should wear appropriate PPE including face shield and gloves when grinding, per ANSI B11 and applicable shop safety standards.
