The SUMNER 2121 Qwik Pin is a flange alignment tool designed to hold steel flanges in position during fit-up and welding. It inserts through mating flange bolt holes to draw and hold the flanges in alignment before fasteners are installed. The tool accommodates flange bolt holes ranging from 0.625 inches to 1.625 inches, making it suitable for a wide range of pipe flange sizes. Pipefitters and welders use this tool to speed up alignment work and reduce the need for additional hands during positioning.
This tool is used in piping fabrication and field installation work where flanged connections must be aligned precisely before welding or bolting. It is commonly used in industrial, commercial, and mechanical piping systems across oil, gas, HVAC, and process piping applications. The Qwik Pin design allows the user to set alignment quickly and move on to tack welding or bolt installation without losing position.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fit-up tool compatible with a wide range of pipe flanges having bolt hole diameters from 0.625 inches to 1.625 inches.
This tool is typically used by pipefitters and welders during flange assembly. Insert the Qwik Pin through aligned bolt holes before tack welding or final bolting to maintain position. Depressurize and isolate the piping system before performing any flange work. Remove the alignment pin before completing final bolt torque sequences.
