The SUMITOMO 1PHC008 is a solid carbide coated milling insert designed for high-performance material removal in milling applications. Manufactured to the ACK200 grade, this insert features a CVD coating process that enhances wear resistance and thermal stability during cutting. The insert carries an LNEX style designation with a rectangular shape and a negative rake angle of -6 degrees, making it well suited for stable, controlled cuts in demanding environments. At 4.4 mm thick and 8.6 mm wide, it is built for rigidity under load. Licensed HVAC and plumbing professionals aside, this insert is installed and replaced by machining specialists and CNC operators working with milling equipment.
This insert is intended for use with the TSX cutter series and is optimized for cutting cast iron workpiece materials classified under material grade K, including K01, K10, and K20 designations. The G chip breaker geometry supports chip control during face and shoulder milling operations. It is appropriate for both light finishing and moderate roughing passes where a maximum depth of cut of 8.0 mm applies. This insert is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units and is a standard choice for production milling of ferrous castings in industrial machining environments.
Designed for use with the TSX cutter series. Optimized for primary workpiece materials classified as cast iron under material grade codes K01, K10, and K20.
Milling inserts should be installed and replaced by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer to seat the insert properly without over-torquing the clamping screw. Inspect the insert pocket for wear or debris before seating a new insert to ensure proper contact and runout control.
