The SUMITOMO 1GRB006 is a solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert in the WCF series, grade AC830P. It features a CVD-applied aluminum oxide (Al2O3) coating finish designed to extend tool life on challenging workpieces. The cutting width is 0.1575 inches with a corner radius of 1/128 inch and an 8-degree right-hand lead angle. This insert is sized as a WCF size 4 and is held in the toolholder by a clamp-style retention method. It is intended for use by machinists and CNC lathe operators performing cutoff, grooving, and chamfering operations.

The 1GRB006 is suited for turning applications on stainless steel and steel workpieces, corresponding to ISO material groups M and P. Installation Notes
