The insert features a 55-degree diamond shape, a negative rake angle of 7 degrees, and an EGU chip breaker geometry. The inscribed circle measures 0.5 inches, with an insert length of 0.6102 inches and a corner radius of 0.0313 inches. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert as a direct indexable tooling component in compatible turning toolholders.
This insert is intended for use in turning operations where the primary workpiece material is steel, as indicated by the secondary workpiece material code P. The DNMG style and neutral hand orientation make it adaptable to both left- and right-hand toolholder setups.
