The SUMITOMO 19RBW0X is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the CCMT 21.52ENK designation with SUMITOMO grade AC830P, a CVD-coated carbide grade engineered for consistent performance on steel and stainless steel workpieces. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape with a positive rake geometry, providing a strong cutting edge and predictable chip formation. The ENK chip breaker geometry controls chip flow across a range of depths of cut and feed rates. This insert is sold individually per package with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
The 19RBW0X is suited for turning operations on ISO material groups P and M, covering carbon steels, alloy steels, and austenitic stainless steels. It fits standard CCMT-style toolholders used in production and job-shop turning environments. Machinists and CNC operators working in general-purpose turning, finish turning, and light roughing applications on ferrous materials will find this insert appropriate for those operations. The neutral hand orientation makes it compatible with a broad range of right-hand and symmetrical toolholder configurations.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for CCMT 21.52-style turning insert seats. Compatible with standard CCMT screw-clamp toolholders accepting a 1/4-inch inscribed circle diamond insert. Primary workpiece material compatibility covers ISO P and M groups as noted in the manufacturer specification.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician using the appropriate torx or hex key for the insert clamping screw. The machine spindle must be stopped and the toolholder removed or the turret indexed away from the work zone before changing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket seat and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating the new insert. Do not overtighten the clamping screw beyond the toolholder manufacturer specification.
