The 90-degree square insert geometry with a neutral hand orientation fits standard SNMG-style toolholders. With a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and a 0.03125-inch corner radius, the 19RBAFG is built for light to medium machining passes where consistent edge integrity matters. Licensed machinists and CNC operators will recognize the EMU chip breaker designation as optimized for controlled chip flow in these material categories.
This insert is intended for turning operations on steel (ISO material group P) and stainless steel (ISO material group M) in both light and medium machining duty cycles. The EMU chip breaker geometry promotes effective chip control during finishing and semi-finishing passes. Typical installation settings include production turning on horizontal and vertical CNC lathes. The insert suits applications where tool life consistency across multi-pass runs is a priority, particularly when transitioning between P and M workpiece materials without a toolholder change.
Designed for use in SNMG-style turning toolholders accepting a 432 ANSI size code insert. Compatible holding methods include clamp-style and pin-style retention systems.
