The SUMITOMO 19PWBPE is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision lathe and turning center operations. Conforming to ANSI code CCMT32.51ESU and ISO code CCMT09T304N-SU, this insert features an 80-degree diamond shape with a positive rake angle of 8 degrees and a 7-degree relief angle. The Al2O3 coating is applied via CVD process, delivering enhanced thermal resistance and wear performance. With a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, a 1/64-inch corner radius, and an insert thickness of 5/32 inches, it is sized for standard toolholders in the CC series. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert in screw-retained toolholding systems.
The 19PWBPE is suited for turning and finishing operations where insert geometry and coating grade must be matched to material type. The AC630M manufacturer grade and ESU chip breaker geometry are targeted at cutting applications involving stainless steel (ISO workpiece material code M). It fits screw-clamp style toolholders that accept CCMT-style inserts and is appropriate for both manual turret lathes and CNC turning centers in job shop and production environments. The neutral hand orientation makes it compatible with standard right-hand toolholder setups.
Designed for use in screw-clamp CC-series toolholders that accept CCMT-style inserts. The AC630M grade and ESU chip breaker are specified for stainless steel workpiece materials (ISO material code M). Conforms to ANSI code CCMT32.51ESU and ISO code CCMT09T304N-SU for direct cross-reference in toolholder selection.
Insert replacement is performed by licensed machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully against the pocket locating surfaces before tightening the clamp screw to avoid insert movement or chipping under load. Inspect the insert pocket and chip breaker seat for debris or wear before installing a new insert.
