The SUMITOMO 196CBPU is a TCMT-style solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting operations on CNC and manual lathes. Manufactured to ANSI code TCMT32.52ESU and ISO code TCMT16T308N-SU, this insert carries a 3/8 inch inscribed circle, a 1/32 inch corner radius, and a 60-degree triangular geometry. The AC6030M grade features a CVD-applied coating optimized for demanding cutting applications. The positive rake angle and ESU chip breaker geometry promote controlled chip flow and reduced cutting forces. Installation uses a screw-holding method, making indexing straightforward at the machine.

Installation Notes
