The SUMITOMO 192RCAW is a solid carbide CVD-coated turning insert carrying the ANSI designation WNMG432EGZ and the ISO designation WNMG080408N-GZ. It is manufactured in grade AC415K with a proprietary FF coating and EGZ chip breaker geometry. The insert features an 80-degree trigon shape with a neutral hand and a 0-degree relief angle. With a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, a 0.0313-inch corner radius, and an insert thickness of 0.1875 inches, this insert is suited to precision external turning operations. It weighs approximately 0.026 pounds and is held using a clamp-and-pin method. Machinists and CNC operators install this insert in compatible toolholders during production turning of ferrous and cast iron workpieces.
This insert is designed for external turning applications in general machining and production environments. Its secondary workpiece material designation K indicates suitability for cast iron. The EGZ chip breaker is engineered to manage chip flow during moderate to finishing-depth cuts.
