The SUMITOMO 16GCAUN is a Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride (PCBN) turning insert designed for precision machining of hardened steel and other difficult-to-cut ferrous materials. Built to ANSI code 2NUCNGA433 and ISO code 2NU-CNGA120412, this uncoated insert features an 80-degree diamond shape with a 1/2 inch inscribed circle and a 3/64 inch corner radius. The BN350 grade offers consistent performance in interrupted and continuous turning applications where tool life and edge stability are critical. Manufactured to Series C tolerances, it is installed by machinists and CNC operators in turning centers and lathes.
