The SUMITOMO 14GZ322 is a solid carbide coated milling insert designed for indexable face and shoulder milling operations. Manufactured to the ACP100 grade with a CVD coating process, this parallelogram-shaped insert measures 0.689 inches in cutting edge effective length and 0.219 inches thick. The right-hand configuration and AXMT insert style make it a direct fit for compatible indexable milling cutter bodies. A corner radius of 0.118 inches and an 85-degree included angle support controlled chip formation in steel and similar ferrous workpiece materials. Licensed HVAC and machining professionals specify this insert for production environments where consistent edge geometry and coating durability are required.
This insert is suited for milling steel and ferrous materials in both light and moderate material removal applications. The G chip breaker geometry manages chip evacuation during face milling and shoulder milling passes. Maximum depth of cut reaches 0.551 inches, making it appropriate for roughing and semi-finishing passes on steel workpieces. It is compatible with the WEX3000 cutter series and carries an insert size code of 1235 with an ISO size designation of 170530. Machinists and tooling specialists in job shop and production environments will find this insert suitable for standard steel milling programs.
Compatible with the WEX3000 cutter series. Insert size code 1235, ISO size 170530, AXMT insert style. Designed for right-hand milling cutter bodies accepting parallelogram inserts of this geometry.
Insert seating and torque should follow the cutter body manufacturer specifications for the WEX3000 series. Power down and lock out the spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torx or insert-clamping wrench supplied with the cutter body. Inspect the insert pocket for debris or damage before seating a new insert to ensure proper registration and edge geometry.
