The SUMITOMO 144WADU is a solid carbide milling insert designed for indexable face and shoulder milling operations. It features an AOMT insert style in a rectangular shape with a right-hand cutting orientation. The insert carries SUMITOMO manufacturer grade ACM300 with an Absotech PVD coating process, delivering wear resistance in demanding milling applications. At 3.6 mm thick and 12.8 mm wide with a 0.40 mm corner radius, it supports a maximum depth of cut of 10.00 mm. The G chip breaker geometry controls chip evacuation during high-feed passes. This insert is installed and replaced by machinists and CNC setup technicians in production and job-shop environments.

The 144WADU is suited for milling operations on steel, cast iron, and similar materials where PVD-coated carbide tooling is specified.
