The SUMITOMO 144V424 is a solid carbide coated milling insert designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Manufactured to the ACM200 grade with a CVD coating process, this insert features a parallelogram (AXMT) shape with an 85-degree included angle and an 11-degree relief angle. The insert measures 0.69 inches in cutting edge effective length, 0.402 inches wide, and 0.22 inches thick, with a 0.0315-inch corner radius. It is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with stainless steel and superalloy workpiece materials. The EH chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation during milling cuts up to 0.551 inches deep.

This insert is suited for milling operations on stainless steel and superalloys in both production and job-shop environments. It carries a right-hand cutting orientation and an inscribed circle diameter of 0.400 inches. The ACM200 CVD-coated grade is engineered to maintain edge integrity under the elevated temperatures and abrasive conditions common when machining M-group and S-group workpiece materials. Installation Notes
