The SUMITOMO 1033357 is an uncoated solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to ANSI and ISO 13399 standards, this insert carries the ANSI code CCGT32.50.5NAG and ISO code CCGT 09T302N-AG. It features an 80-degree diamond shape with a positive rake angle of 20 degrees and a relief angle of 7 degrees, making it well suited for light, finishing cuts in non-ferrous materials. The manufacturer grade designation is H1, and the chip breaker style is NAG. The insert is held in place using a pin and screw holding method and is compatible with standard C-style toolholders with G tolerance and C clearance.
This insert is intended for turning applications involving non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass alloys. The uncoated solid carbide construction and positive rake geometry minimize cutting forces and reduce built-up edge when machining these materials. It is typically used in residential and industrial machine shops, toolrooms, and production environments where fine surface finish and tight dimensional tolerances are required.
