The STI sti-1200 is a polycarbonate protective cover designed to reduce false activations of pull-station fire alarms. Known as the Stopper II, this flush-mount enclosure fits over existing pull stations and requires a deliberate lifting action to access the device beneath. The cover does not include an integral horn. It is UL and cUL Listed, carries MEA 49-00-E approval, and meets ADA compliance requirements. Fire alarm technicians, electricians, and facility maintenance professionals install this cover in applications where accidental or unauthorized pulls are a recurring problem.
The sti-1200 is suited for use in schools, hospitals, warehouses, hotels, and other commercial or institutional settings where pull-station false alarms create operational disruption. The flush-mount configuration keeps the profile low and works in corridors, stairwells, and public areas where ADA compliance is required. Because this model does not include a horn, it is used in locations where a separate sounder is already part of the fire alarm system or where a local alert at the station is not desired.
Designed as a flush-mount protective cover for standard pull-station fire alarm devices in commercial and institutional fire alarm systems. Verify pull-station dimensions against cover interior dimensions prior to installation.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed fire alarm technician or electrician in accordance with NFPA 72 and local authority having jurisdiction requirements. Disable or notify the monitoring station before working on any active fire alarm circuit to prevent unwanted dispatch. Confirm that the pull station is properly aligned within the cover before securing the mount so the protective lift mechanism operates freely.
