The STERLING 24738-na is an 18-gauge stainless steel undermount kitchen sink designed for single-bowl residential kitchen installations. Constructed with a luster finish, it features SilentShield sound-absorbing technology that reduces operational noise and vibration during use. The bowl measures 21 inches in length, 15-1/4 inches in width, and 5-5/8 inches in depth, providing ample workspace for food prep and cleanup. A cutout template is included to assist with countertop fabrication. The sink meets ADA compliance requirements and carries a limited lifetime warranty. Plumbers and kitchen installers are the primary trade installing this unit.
This sink is suited for undermount installation in residential kitchens where a clean countertop edge is required. The 1-1/2-inch drain connection and 3-3/4-inch drain hole size are compatible with standard residential drain assemblies. The overall cabinet footprint of 23-3/8 inches in length and 17-11/16 inches in width fits typical 24-inch base cabinet rough openings. The rough-in dimension is 8-13/16 inches. This model is appropriate for new construction and remodel applications where ADA-accessible sink installations are specified.
Designed as an OEM-style undermount kitchen sink compatible with standard residential 24-inch base cabinet installations and 1-1/2-inch drain assemblies meeting ASME A112.19.3/CSA B45.4 and ICC/ANSI A117.1 requirements.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified kitchen installer. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain connections before beginning removal of any existing sink. The undermount mounting method requires appropriate silicone sealant and mounting hardware suited to the countertop material — confirm compatibility with stone, solid surface, or laminate substrates before installation. Follow local plumbing code requirements, including IPC guidelines, for drain connection and venting.
