The STEINER 9215-L is a full-coverage welding jacket built for non-hazardous welding environments where durable hand protection and heat resistance are essential. Constructed from genuine brown cowhide leather, this jacket provides reliable protection against sparks, spatter, and radiant heat generated during MIG, TIG, and stick welding operations. The cowhide material offers a combination of abrasion resistance and flexibility that synthetic materials cannot match at this level of use. Three pockets provide practical on-the-job storage for electrodes, markers, or small tools. A snap closure front allows for quick donning and removal between tasks. Sized Large, this jacket is suited for a wide range of wearers across typical trade body dimensions.
This jacket is designed for welders, fabricators, and metal workers operating in light industrial, manufacturing, and construction settings where non-hazardous protection levels are required. It is appropriate for shop floor welding, light structural work, and field repair welding where full-arm and torso coverage from spatter and flame exposure is needed. Installation and use are typical in environments governed by OSHA PPE standards for welding operations. The cowhide construction holds up well in repeated daily wear scenarios common to professional welding trade environments.
Designed as a standard welding jacket for non-hazardous protection applications in light industrial and field welding environments. No specific system or equipment compatibility constraints apply.
This jacket is PPE and does not require installation. Welders and fabricators should inspect the jacket before each use for signs of damage, worn snaps, or compromised leather integrity. Replace immediately if the material shows burns through the outer layer or compromised seams. Follow your facility PPE policy and applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1910.252 requirements for welding protective clothing.
