The STEINER 336-6X6 is a vinyl laminated polyester welding curtain designed to contain weld flash, spatter, and UV radiation in active welding areas. Measuring 6 feet high by 6 feet wide, this curtain provides a substantial barrier between welding operations and adjacent workers or equipment. Constructed from 13 oz per square yard vinyl laminated polyester, the material resists spark penetration and light transmission without becoming brittle under repeated heat exposure. Grommets are included along the top edge for secure hanging on standard welding curtain frames or rods. Welders, fabricators, and shop supervisors install this type of curtain to meet safety and arc flash shielding requirements in production and maintenance environments.
This curtain is suited for use in industrial fabrication shops, manufacturing facilities, maintenance bays, and shipyard environments where arc welding, MIG, TIG, or stick processes generate flash and spatter. The black finish reduces light bleed and glare for workers in surrounding areas. At 6 feet by 6 feet, it fits standard single-station welding bays and works as a standalone panel or as part of a multi-panel curtain system mounted on pipe frames or overhead tracks.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation welding curtain panel for standard welding curtain frame systems accepting 6-foot-wide panels with grommet-top mounting.
Welding curtains are typically hung by welders, shop supervisors, or safety personnel using S-hooks or curtain rings through the top grommets on pipe frames, overhead rods, or dedicated curtain track systems. Ensure the mounting structure is rated for the curtain weight before hanging. Position the curtain to fully enclose the welding arc from the line of sight of adjacent workers, per ANSI Z49.1 arc flash shielding guidelines. Inspect grommets and the curtain surface periodically for damage from spatter buildup or mechanical wear.
