The STEINER 184AS is an aluminized spat designed to protect the foot and lower leg from radiant heat, molten metal splash, and sparks in high-heat industrial work environments. Built with an aluminized Kevlar upper, the spat reflects radiant heat while the Kevlar substrate provides cut and abrasion resistance. Standing 15 inches tall, it covers the instep and lower leg effectively. This style features a plain toe design and is sized to fit over men's shoe size 9. It is worn over standard work boots and is installed by the worker before entering heat-exposure zones. Welders, foundry workers, and metalworkers in fabrication and casting environments are the primary users.
