The aluminized coverage is applied to the back of the pad, reflecting radiant heat away from the hand. At 7.5 inches in overall length and 5.5 inches in overall width, it fits a universal hand size and is fully ambidextrous, making it suitable for either hand without requiring separate left- and right-hand inventory. Welders, furnace operators, foundry workers, and other trades working near open flame or radiant heat sources are the primary installers and users of this pad.
