The STEINER 1080-X is a flame resistant welding jacket designed for professional welders and fabricators working in environments where arc flash, spatter, and open flame exposure are everyday hazards. Constructed from 9.0 oz cotton, the jacket provides a balance of lightweight wear and reliable FR protection. Snap closures allow for quick donning and doffing, and leather reinforcement at high-wear contact points extends service life. Anti-static properties reduce static buildup in the work environment, while mildew and rot resistance help the garment hold up in demanding shop and field conditions.
This jacket is suited for MIG, TIG, and stick welding applications in both shop and light industrial settings. The X-Large sizing accommodates a 52 to 54 inch chest. It is appropriate for welders, ironworkers, and maintenance trades who require a day-to-day FR outer layer without the bulk of a full leather jacket. The single chest pocket provides minimal storage for small tools or markers. Non-reflective snaps keep the closure low-profile in environments where glare or reflection is a concern.
Designed as an OEM-style FR welding jacket intended for general welding and hot-work applications requiring flame resistant outerwear in an X-Large fit.
This garment is donned and removed by the welder or trades professional prior to beginning hot-work operations. Inspect the jacket before each use for burns, tears, or compromised snap closures that could reduce protection. Follow ANSI Z49.1 and applicable workplace safety standards for FR garment use and care. Launder according to the care label instructions to maintain flame resistant properties.
