Cut to 7/16 inch thick, 1-1/2 inches wide, and 18 inches long, it ships ready for layout, machining, and heat treatment. The material meets AISI Type O1 specifications, making it a standard choice for punches, dies, gauges, and cutting tools where controlled hardening and good wear resistance are required. Thickness tolerance is held to plus or minus 0.001 inches, giving machinists a reliable starting dimension without additional cleanup grinding on the critical face.
