The STARRETT 52930 is a horizontal-style dial test indicator designed for precise dimensional measurement in machining, inspection, and metrology applications. It reads on a 0-35-0 balanced dial with a 0.01 mm graduation and a full range of 0.70 mm per revolution. The 15/16-inch diameter white dial provides clear, easy readability under shop conditions. Built around a jeweled lever action mechanism and equipped with a hard chrome-plated contact point, this indicator delivers repeatable, reliable readings. It includes a positive reversing switch for bidirectional measurement and a swiveling tubular body for flexible positioning on a variety of fixtures and setups.
The 52930 is suited for machine shop and quality control environments where compact size and accurate deviation readings matter. The horizontal style makes it practical for surface plate work, fixture verification, runout checks, and part-to-part comparison measurements. The small form factor and swiveling body allow placement in tight clearance situations where a standard plunger-type indicator would not fit. One contact point is included. The body clamp included with the unit simplifies mounting to indicator holders and magnetic bases.
