The STARRETT 20755 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in fabrication and maintenance environments. It measures 118 inches in total length and 3/4 inches wide, with a blade thickness of 0.035 inches. The tooth material is M42 high speed steel, which delivers superior heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS grades. Variable pitch at 4 to 6 TPI reduces vibration and harmonic chatter during the cut, improving surface finish and blade life. This blade is installed by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians who run horizontal or vertical bandsaws on ferrous and non-ferrous stock.
The 20755 is suited for cutting ferrous metals such as structural steel, alloy bar stock, and tubing, as well as non-ferrous materials including aluminum and brass. The variable 4 to 6 TPI pitch and raker tooth set make it effective across a range of cross-sections. It is appropriate for production environments and job-shop use where consistent cuts on mixed metal stock are required.
