The STARRETT 16392 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade built for demanding metal-cutting applications. Part of the Intenss PRO-DIE series, it measures 80 inches in total length and 3/8 inches wide, with a blade thickness of 0.025 inches. The variable pitch tooth pattern runs at 8 to 12 TPI, reducing vibration and improving cut quality across a range of material thicknesses. The cutting teeth are made from M42 high speed steel with a raker tooth set and positive rake angle, delivered on a flexible back for smooth tracking on the bandsaw wheel. Designed for licensed machinists and metal fabricators working in production or job-shop environments.
This blade is suited for contour cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous materials including steel, stainless steel, exotic alloys, and non-ferrous metals. The variable pitch design makes it effective on interrupted cuts and variable-section workpieces common in precision metal shops. It installs on horizontal and vertical bandsaws accepting a blade of 80 inches in length and 3/8 inches in width.
Designed for bandsaws accepting an 80-inch blade length with a 3/8-inch blade width and 0.025-inch thickness. Suitable for cutting steel, stainless steel, exotic steel, and non-ferrous metal stock.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified operator following the saw manufacturer's guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures. Power down and lock out the machine before removing the worn blade or mounting the new one. Verify blade tension and tracking adjustment before resuming operation. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the blade at any stage.
