The STARRETT 16314 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade designed for demanding metal-cutting applications in professional shop and fabrication environments. Measuring 154 inches in total length and 1/2 inch wide with a 0.025-inch thickness, this blade features a variable-pitch tooth pattern ranging from 10 to 14 TPI. The M42 high-speed steel tooth material delivers heat and wear resistance during high-cycle cutting. A positive rake angle and raker tooth set promote aggressive chip evacuation and consistent cutting performance across a range of material thicknesses. Licensed HVAC technicians, machinists, and metal fabricators working with bandsaws in the Intenss PRO-DIE series will find this blade well-suited to production cutting tasks.
This blade is intended for cutting steel, stainless steel, exotic steel alloys, and non-ferrous metals. The variable-pitch design reduces harmonic vibration and blade noise, making it effective for both thin-walled tubing and solid bar stock. The flexible back construction allows the blade to track reliably through tight contour cuts as well as straight cuts. It is appropriate for use in industrial and commercial metalworking settings where consistent cut quality and extended blade life are required.
Designed for use in bandsaw machines accepting a 154-inch welded loop blade at 1/2 inch width. Suitable for cutting steel, stainless steel, exotic steel, and non-ferrous metal stock. Part of the STARRETT Intenss PRO-DIE series.
Blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or fabrication technician with the bandsaw powered off and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify blade tension and tracking alignment before resuming operation. Inspect blade guides and thrust bearings for wear before mounting a new blade. Do not exceed the bandsaw manufacturer's recommended blade speed for the material being cut.
