The STARRETT 00099 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade designed for demanding metal-cutting applications in industrial and shop environments. Measuring 12 feet in length and 1-1/4 inches wide, this blade runs a variable pitch of 3 to 4 teeth per inch, which helps reduce harmonic vibration and produces a cleaner cut across varying material thicknesses. The tooth material is high speed steel with a positive rake angle and ground cutting edge for precise stock removal. A raker tooth set and straight tooth form make this blade well suited to straight-line cuts through ferrous and exotic metals. Licensed metalworking technicians and fabrication shop machinists are the primary installers.
This blade is intended for use on vertical or horizontal bandsaw machines accepting 12-foot welded blade loops. Its Primalloy bi-metal construction handles steel, stainless steel, and exotic steel stock. The flexible back type accommodates the continuous flexing stress of bandsaw wheel rotation without premature fatigue cracking. Variable pitch spacing further reduces blade loading during cuts in solid bar, structural shapes, and tubing made from harder alloys.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement welded bandsaw blade for machines accepting a 12-foot continuous loop, 1-1/4 inch wide blade. Suitable for cutting steel, stainless steel, and exotic steel workpieces.
Bandsaw blade replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or fabrication technician with the machine fully powered down and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide spacing, and blade tension setting match the blade width and thickness before powering on. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled or uncoiled blades. Do not exceed the saw manufacturer's recommended blade speed for the material being cut.
