The STANLEY BLACK DECKER STST22742BK is a 4-drawer rolling tool cabinet built for professional tool storage in garage and shop environments. Constructed entirely of steel in 20-24 gauge thickness, the cabinet measures 26.5 inches wide, 18 inches deep, and 32 inches tall. It carries a 500-pound load rating and rides on four 4-inch x 2-inch casters, two of which lock and swivel for stationary positioning. Each of the four drawers rides on full-extension ball-bearing slides and holds up to 50 pounds. A keyed internal locking system secures all drawers simultaneously. This cabinet is installed by professional mechanics, tradespeople, and fleet technicians who need mobile, high-capacity tool storage.
The STST22742BK is designed for home garage and professional shop environments where organized, mobile tool storage is required. It is part of the Stanley 100 Series metal tool storage line, which includes matching top chests and middle chests. The companion 4-drawer top chest STST22643BK and the 2-drawer middle chest STST22621BK are compatible stacking units sold separately. The cabinet surface is protected by a non-slip open-weave top mat, and full-width black steel drawer trim provides a secure grip on each drawer face.
Designed for use as a standalone rolling cabinet or paired with the Stanley 100 Series 26-inch 4-drawer top chest STST22643BK and the Stanley 100 Series 26-inch 2-drawer middle chest STST22621BK, both sold separately.
Assembly and placement is typically performed without specialized trade licensing, but caster installation should be confirmed torque-tight before loading the cabinet. Position the cabinet on a level floor surface and engage both locking casters before loading drawers or stacking additional chest units. Do not exceed the 500-pound load rating or the 50-pound per-drawer capacity. Keep the keyed lock disengaged during drawer loading to avoid drawer-frame stress.
