Installation is performed by threading the 0.25 inch shank into a die grinder collet and tightening to the tool manufacturer's specified torque using the appropriate collet wrench. Ensure the grinder is disconnected from air supply or electrical power before mounting or removing the backing pad. Do not exceed the 40,000 RPM rating of the pad. Always confirm that the abrasive disc mounted to the pad also carries a speed rating equal to or greater than the operating RPM of the tool.
