Product Description
The Square D CC59.4 thermal unit protects motors, controllers, and branch circuit conductors from excessive heating due to prolonged motor over currents, including locked rotor currents. These Class 20 thermal units respond to overload current conditions according to trip curves, tripping in 20 seconds or less. The motor current passes through a small heater winding, and under overload conditions, heat melts a special solder, opening the control circuit contacts.
