The Square D B2.40 thermal units protect motors, controllers, and branch-circuit conductors against excessive heating due to prolonged motor over-currents, including locked rotor currents. Class 20 thermal units respond to overload current conditions according to trip curves, tripping in 20 seconds or less. These units feature a one-piece construction.
