Product Description

The Square D A1.39 thermal unit protects motors, controllers, and branch circuit conductors against excessive heating from prolonged motor over currents, including locked rotor currents. Class 20 thermal units respond to overload current conditions according to trip curves, tripping in 20 seconds or less. The motor current passes through a small heater winding, and under overload conditions, heat melts a special solder, opening the control circuit contacts.
