The SQUARE D 9012GBW1 is an electromechanical pressure and level switch designed for industrial and commercial fluid control applications. It operates across a pressure range of 13 to 425 psig with an adjustable differential, making it suitable for systems that require precise on/off switching based on pressure changes. The switch uses a single-pole double-throw with double-break (SPDT-DB) contact form and connects via screw terminals. It is rated for 120 VAC, 240 VAC, 125 VDC, and 250 VDC service at 6 amps. Fluid connection is 1/4 inch and conduit entry is 1/2 inch. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the typical installers.
This pressure switch is intended for use in hydraulic and pneumatic systems where reliable, repeatable pressure-activated switching is required. It is built to handle demanding environments, carrying NEMA 4, 4X, and 13 enclosure ratings, which qualify it for indoor and outdoor installations subject to washdown, dust, oil, and corrosive conditions. The vibration-resistant construction makes it well suited for compressor skids, hydraulic power units, pump panels, and similar installations where mechanical vibration is present.
Designed for use with hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems requiring electromechanical pressure switching within the 13 to 425 psig operating range.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified instrumentation technician in accordance with the NEC and any applicable local codes. Isolate and de-energize the circuit and depressurize the fluid system completely before making any connections or adjustments. The 1/4 inch fluid port should be sealed with compatible thread sealant rated for the media in use. Verify enclosure integrity after wiring to maintain the NEMA 4 and 4X ratings.
