The SPI CMS160725065 is a mechanical inside micrometer designed for precision bore, hole, and internal diameter measurement. It covers a range of 25.00 to 50.00 mm using a ratchet stop thimble that delivers consistent, repeatable measuring force with every use. The instrument features carbide measuring faces for long-term wear resistance and a satin chrome finish that reduces glare under shop lighting. Graduation is 0.01 mm, and the tool ships calibrated and traceable to NIST standards, with a short-form certificate of calibration included. It is intended for machinists, toolmakers, quality control technicians, and precision fabrication trades.
This inside micrometer is suited for residential and commercial machine shops, manufacturing floors, and tool rooms where accurate internal measurement of bores and holes in the 25.00 to 50.00 mm range is required. A setting ring with a 5.00 mm diameter is included for field zeroing and verification. The single-contact-point design is appropriate for cylindrical bore measurement in both production and inspection environments. One setting ring is included in the package.
Designed as a standalone mechanical inside micrometer for internal diameter measurement applications requiring a 25.00 to 50.00 mm range. Compatible with standard metrology workflows that require NIST-traceable instruments.
Inside micrometers are installed and used by machinists and quality control technicians; no permanent installation is required. Before use, zero the instrument using the included setting ring and verify calibration per your shop's quality procedures. Keep the instrument clean and stored in its case when not in use to protect the carbide measuring faces and maintain calibration integrity. Do not force the thimble; use only the ratchet stop to apply measuring pressure.
