The SPI CMS160725028 is a dial caliper designed for precision dimensional measurement in trade and industrial environments. It covers a 6-inch measurement range with a 0.001-inch graduation and matching 0.001-inch accuracy, making it suitable for close-tolerance work. The green-faced dial advances 0.1 inches per revolution for easy reading. The caliper body and jaws are constructed from stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long-term durability. It is calibrated at the factory and ships NIST traceable with a short-form certificate, so it is ready to use straight out of the box. A fitted carrying case is included.
This caliper handles outside, inside, depth, and step measurements in a single tool, covering the most common dimensional checks encountered in fabrication, mechanical service, and layout work. The 1.57-inch jaw length accommodates a practical range of part geometries. It is appropriate for use by machinists, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and plumbers who need a reliable bench or field measuring instrument for pipe sizing, fitting verification, and component inspection.
Designed as a general-purpose dial caliper suitable for dimensional measurement tasks across mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial service applications.
No installation is required for this measuring instrument. Before use, verify the jaws close fully to zero and adjust the bezel if needed to zero the dial. Keep the sliding surfaces clean and lightly lubricated to maintain measurement accuracy. Store in the included fitted case when not in use to protect the dial and jaws.
