The SPI CMS160712061 is an electronic bore gage designed for precision internal diameter measurement in machining, manufacturing, and quality control applications. It covers a measuring range of 2.5 to 3 inches with a resolution of 0.0001 inches and accuracy up to 0.0002 inches. The gage features a 3-point solid carbide head that contacts the bore wall at three equidistant points, delivering consistent, repeatable readings. A pistol grip handle supports single-handed operation, and the display is readable from both right and left hand positions. Metrology technicians and machinists install and use this instrument in shop floor and inspection environments.
This bore gage is suited for precision measurement of bored holes and cylindrical bores in the 2.5 to 3 inch range. It is appropriate for use in job shops, production machining operations, and dimensional inspection stations where tight tolerances must be verified. The included indicator, fitted carrying case, and CR2032 battery allow the unit to be put into service immediately upon receipt. Gage depth reaches 4.48 inches, accommodating moderately deep bores.
