The SPI 37-207-8 is a double-end plug thread gage designed to inspect M27x2 metric threads to a 6H tolerance class. It performs both Go and No-Go checks in a single tool, allowing a technician to confirm that a tapped hole falls within the accepted tolerance range without switching instruments. The gage ships with a handle included. It carries ANSI traceability certification and conforms to NIST standards, making it suitable for quality-control environments where documentation is required. Machinists, toolroom techs, and QC inspectors use this type of gage on production floors and in inspection labs to verify thread conformance on metric fastener applications.
This gage is intended for use on M27x2 internally threaded components where 6H class tolerance verification is specified. Double-end construction places the Go member on one end and the No-Go member on the other, streamlining the inspection process on high-volume or repetitive threading operations. It is well suited to industrial manufacturing, maintenance repair operations, and precision machining environments where metric thread standards are enforced.
Designed for inspection of M27x2 internally threaded components requiring 6H class tolerance verification.
Thread gages are used by machinists and quality-control technicians and do not require power or mechanical installation. Before use, clean the threaded bore and the gage members to remove chips, coolant, or debris that could cause false readings. Apply the Go member first; it should pass through the full thread length under hand pressure only. Never force a plug gage — forcing can damage the gage or the part and will produce unreliable results.
