The SPI 37-154-2 is a single-end No Go plug thread gage designed to verify internal metric threads to the M10x1.5 thread specification at a 6H tolerance class. It is used to confirm that a tapped hole does not exceed the maximum allowable thread tolerance, ensuring parts will not accept an oversized or out-of-tolerance mating fastener. The gage member measures 1.37 inches in length and 0.39 inches in diameter and weighs 0.11 pounds. A separate handle is required and is not included with this gage. Traceability certification to ANSI standards with NIST traceability is included.
This gage is suited for use in manufacturing, machining, and quality control environments where metric thread verification is required. It is applicable in production inspection of tapped holes in components where M10x1.5 fasteners are specified. The No Go member is used as the rejection gage in a Go/No Go inspection routine — if the No Go gage enters the threaded hole, the part is out of tolerance and should be rejected. This tool is commonly used by machinists, quality technicians, and inspection personnel in aerospace, automotive, and general fabrication settings.
Designed for use with standard plug gage handles sold separately. Intended for inspection of M10x1.5 internally threaded holes held to 6H tolerance class per ANSI standards.
This gage is installed and used by quality control technicians or machinists performing thread inspection. Before use, ensure the threaded hole being inspected is clean and free of chips or cutting fluid that could affect gage entry. Do not force the No Go gage into a threaded hole — if resistance is felt before full engagement, the part may be in tolerance. Handle the gage carefully to avoid damage to the precision-ground thread form, as any nicks or wear will affect measurement accuracy.
