The SPI 37-111-2 is a single-end Go plug thread gage used to verify the minimum material condition of M7x1 metric internal threads. Classified to 6H tolerance, it checks that a tapped hole meets the lower boundary of the acceptable thread form before a fastener is installed. The gage is a precision inspection tool used in manufacturing, machining, and quality-control environments. It is traceable to NIST standards and supplied with an ANSI traceability certification. The handle is not included and must be sourced separately. The gage body measures 0.28 inches in width and 1.5 inches in height and weighs 0.11 pounds.
This gage is suited for inspecting M7x1 tapped holes in production machining shops, assembly lines, and field-service quality checks. It is used wherever metric fastener fitment must be verified to 6H class tolerance — a common specification in general mechanical assemblies. The single-end Go configuration is used as the first pass in a Go/No-Go inspection sequence to confirm that the thread will accept a mating fastener.
Designed for use with standard plug gage handles suitable for the 0.28-inch gage diameter; fits any M7x1 tapped hole application requiring 6H class thread verification.
Thread gages are inspection tools installed by machinists, quality technicians, or assembly personnel — not field-installed components. Before use, ensure the tapped hole is free of chips, coolant, and debris that could affect gage readings. Do not force the gage into the thread; Go gages should pass under hand pressure only. Store the gage in a protective case away from other metal tools to prevent damage to the precision thread form.
