The SPI 37-106-2 is a single-end Go plug thread gage designed to verify the minimum material condition of internal M3.5x0.6 metric threads to the 6H tolerance class. Manufactured to ANSI standards with NIST-traceable certification, it gives machinists and quality control technicians a reliable, pass-fail check during in-process and final inspection. The gage measures 1.19 inches in length with a 0.14-inch diameter and weighs 0.066 pounds. A handle is not included and must be sourced separately. This type of gage is a standard tool in any shop performing metric fastener work, thread tapping operations, or incoming inspection of threaded components.
This gage is suited for use in manufacturing, machining, and assembly environments where M3.5x0.6 internal threads must be confirmed to 6H class fit before components are accepted. It is commonly used on CNC machined parts, tapped holes in aluminum, steel, and similar materials, and fits standard plug gage handles available through most tooling suppliers. Thread gages are inspection tools, not cutting tools — never force the gage into a threaded hole. Seat the gage in a standard plug gage handle before use to ensure controlled insertion torque and accurate results. Store the gage in a protective case away from other tooling to prevent damage to the precision ground thread form. Periodic recalibration against NIST-traceable masters is recommended to maintain measurement integrity.
