The SPI 37-100-5 is a single-end Go plug thread gage designed to verify internal thread conformance on M1.6x0.35 metric threads classified to the 6H tolerance standard. Technicians use this gage to confirm that a threaded bore falls within the acceptable dimensional range before assembly — a pass on the Go member indicates the thread is not undersize. The handle is not included with this gage; a separate compatible handle must be sourced and fitted prior to use. Weighing approximately 0.044 pounds, the 37-100-5 is a compact precision instrument suited for quality control inspection in machining, manufacturing, and mechanical assembly environments.
This gage is intended for inspecting small-diameter metric threaded holes with an M1.6x0.35 thread form. It is appropriate for use in production floor inspection, incoming parts verification, and in-process quality checks. The single-end Go configuration is used when only acceptance verification is needed, separate from a No-Go check. Traceability documentation conforming to ANSI standards and traceable to NIST is included, supporting calibration records and quality management system requirements.
Designed for use with standard plug gage handles compatible with the 37-100-5 gage blank diameter. Suitable for inspecting M1.6x0.35 6H classified internal threads in any material or application requiring metric thread verification.
Installation is performed by a quality technician or machinist — thread gages require a compatible handle, which must be acquired separately and properly secured before use. Do not force the Go gage into a threaded bore; entry should be smooth with hand pressure only. Store gages in a protective case away from contaminants and temperature extremes to maintain calibration integrity. Periodic re-calibration intervals should follow your facility quality management plan in accordance with applicable ANSI or ISO standards.
