The SPI 34-411-9 is a double-end plug thread gage designed to inspect 5/8-11 UN threads to the 2B tolerance class. One end carries the Go member and the other carries the No Go member, allowing a technician to verify both the minimum and maximum thread tolerance limits in a single tool. The gage ships with a size 3 handle included, so no separate handle purchase is required before use. A NIST-traceable calibration certificate is included, supporting quality documentation requirements in production and inspection environments. Machinists, quality control inspectors, and toolroom technicians use this gage to accept or reject threaded holes and nuts during incoming inspection, in-process checks, or final verification.
The 34-411-9 is suited for production floor and inspection room use wherever 5/8-11 internally threaded parts must be verified against ASME or ANSI thread standards. Typical applications include fabrication shops, machine shops, and assembly operations that require documented thread inspection with traceable tooling. The double-end design keeps both Go and No Go members on one gage body, reducing the number of tools a technician needs to manage during an inspection run.
Designed for inspection of 5/8-11 UN internally threaded components classified to the 2B tolerance class. Fits standard size 3 plug gage handles.
Thread gages are inspection tools installed by machinists or quality control inspectors — no power source or lockout procedure is required. Store the gage in its case when not in use to protect the thread members from damage and contamination. Do not force the Go member through a thread; if it does not pass with light hand pressure, the thread is out of tolerance. Recalibrate or replace the gage per your facility calibration interval schedule to maintain NIST traceability.
