The SPI 34-395-4 is a double-end plug thread gage used to verify internal thread conformance to the 7/16-20 thread specification at a 2B tolerance class. One end checks the Go condition, confirming the thread falls within the minimum material limit. The opposite end checks the No Go condition, confirming the thread does not exceed the maximum material limit. A handle is included. The gage is manufactured from steel and ships with a traceability certification traceable to NIST standards. Machinists, quality technicians, and inspection personnel use this tool as part of in-process or final thread inspection routines.
This gage is suited for inspection of 7/16-20 UNF internally threaded components in manufacturing, maintenance, and repair environments. The double-end design consolidates Go and No Go functions into a single instrument, reducing changeover time during thread inspection. The included handle size 2 provides a secure, ergonomic grip for repeated use on production floors or in field inspection scenarios where thread quality must be confirmed before assembly.
Designed for inspection of 7/16-20 UNF internally threaded components requiring 2B class thread tolerance verification.
Thread gages are inspection instruments and do not require installation in the conventional sense. Handle the gage carefully to avoid nicks or burrs that can affect measurement accuracy. Store in a protective case when not in use and periodically verify calibration against a known standard. Gage use and calibration intervals should follow the quality management procedures applicable to your shop or inspection program.
