The SPI 34-339-2 is a double-end plug thread gage used to verify internal thread quality to NIST-traceable standards. One end carries the Go member and the other carries the No Go member, allowing a technician to confirm both the minimum and maximum acceptable thread form in a single tool. The gage is machined from steel and rated for Class 2B thread tolerance, which is the standard fit class for most commercial and industrial threaded fastener applications. A handle is included. The 34-339-2 is designed for inspection of number 1-64 UNC internal threads in production and quality assurance environments. Thread gages are inspection tools, not cutting or forming tools. Do not force the Go member through a tapped hole, and never force the No Go member to pass. Store the gage in a protective case away from abrasive materials to preserve calibration. Periodic recalibration against a NIST-traceable master is recommended per your facility quality management plan.
