The SPI 34-269-1 is a single-end No Go plug thread gage designed to verify that an internal thread does not exceed maximum material condition. It checks 3/8-16 Unified National Coarse threads to the 6H tolerance class, confirming the thread will reject out-of-tolerance parts before they reach assembly. Made from steel, this gage is sized for a Size 2 handle, which is sold separately. NIST traceability certification is included, satisfying inspection and calibration documentation requirements on the shop floor or in a quality lab.
This gage is used in manufacturing inspection, machine shops, and precision assembly environments where threaded fastener acceptance criteria must be verified. The 3/8-16 thread size is common across a wide range of mechanical assemblies. The No Go member confirms the high limit of the tolerance, and when used alongside a Go gage, provides a complete functional check of the tapped hole. It is suited for incoming inspection, in-process checks, and final acceptance testing.
Designed for use with a Size 2 plug gage handle sold separately. Intended for inspection of 3/8-16 UNC internal threads conforming to 6H class tolerance requirements.
Plug thread gages are used by quality technicians and machinists and require no permanent installation. Always clean and deburr the threaded hole before gaging to prevent false rejections or gage wear. Store the gage in its case when not in use to protect the thread form. Replace or recalibrate the gage according to your facility's calibration interval schedule to maintain measurement integrity.
