The SPI 34-263-4 is a single-end No Go plug thread gage used to verify that an internal threaded feature does not exceed its maximum material condition. Designed for 5/16-24 thread forms classified to the 6H tolerance standard, this gage gives inspectors and machinists a fast, reliable pass-fail check on tapped holes and threaded bores. The body is machined from steel for durability and dimensional stability. A Size 1 handle is required for operation but is not included with this gage. Calibration traceability meets NIST requirements, and the gage conforms to ANSI standards.
This plug thread gage is used in precision machining, manufacturing inspection, and quality-control environments where threaded fastener fitment must be verified to tolerance. It is suited to production floor inspection of 5/16-24 internally threaded components, including fastener bores, fittings, and machined housings. The single-end No Go configuration is typically paired with a separate Go gage to complete a full thread verification routine. Installation of the handle is required before use.
Designed for inspection of 5/16-24 internally threaded features classified to the 6H tolerance standard. Requires a Size 1 handle, which is sold separately.
This gage is installed onto a compatible Size 1 handle before use — the handle is not included. Always inspect the gage for wear or damage before each use, as a worn No Go gage can produce false-pass results. Thread gages should be stored in protective cases and periodically recalibrated in accordance with your quality management system and applicable ANSI standards.
